FJP Auctions was formed as Floyd, Johnson & Paine, Inc. in
1993 to offer orders and medals to the international collecting community,
historians, museums, and other interested parties. Since August 1993 FJP has
conducted four sales each year offering more quality U.S. decorations and
medals than any other provider in the world. Historically, around
half of the over 5,000 lots offered annually are US and British, and half
from the rest of the world. The range of material offered varies from entry
level to the most sophisticated.
The company holds four live-mail or mail sales annually,
in February, May, August, and November, and internet sales weekly. The
August sale is a live-mail bid sale held each year in conjunction with the
annual convention of the Orders and Medals Society of America, the February
sale is held at the Show of Shows in Louisville, Kentucky.
The company is owned by Jeffrey B. Floyd, Fred W.
Rockwood, and Barry C. Weaver. Collectively, the partners have over eighty
years experience in the field and have authored more than forty articles,
pamphlets and books on orders, medals, militaria, and related subjects. They
have a long history of service at a board level to the Orders and Medals
Society of America, and several other related organizations, and in Mr.
Rockwood’s case, a major U.S. corporation. Both Dr. Weaver and Mr. Floyd
have been honored as Distinguished Members of the Orders and Medals Society
of American, the highest honor granted by that society.
FJP Auctions, Inc. has been selected to sell a number of
significant collections over the years. We are experienced in working with
individuals, estates, trusts, and institutions. |
